It’s Beach Time
If you don’t know what to do on your weekends I have great news.
It’s beach time again here in Dubai!
Well, if you live here you are probably thinking that actually it’s always beach time in Dubai. True. But even if there are 24 degrees on the coldest day of the year, I don’t really feel to put swimsuit on during winter months. Call me crazy.
However, last Friday I suggested to Massimo to do something different rather than staying home, watching Netflix, going out in the afternoon and having something for dinner somewhere (basically our winter routine). So we headed over to Kite beach where Massimo went running (there is a running race along the beach) and I finally started reading again. I read a lot in Italy and in Thailand but I hardly find the time to open a book when I’m in Dubai.
I really like Kite Beach. It reminds me a Californian beach. It’s also well organized as it offers toilets, showers and a variety of food trucks and restaurants.
My favourite place where to eat is Park House which offers many healthy choices. The smoothie is a must to try and I’m starting to have a real addiction for their Beetroot hummus toast with avocado and poached eggs.
FAVOURITE MUSTARD SLIDES
Kite beach also hosts a local market with beautiful goodies. You can find some pretty gems for your house ( I saw a couple of vendors who sell rugs) or a lot of pieces to wear during summer (if you are looking for a straw bag, check this market). The selection of dainty and boho jewels is outstanding too. Let’s just say that what starts as a day at the beach dangerously ends in a compulsory shopping.
