Every time I go back to Italy I always make sure to keep at least one day to visit Milan for a bit a lot of shopping. I normally check always the same two or three stores. First, a quick stop at La Rinascente to check all the latest bag collections. I like the department store because I can see all my favorite designers at the same time. Then, a looooong stop at & Other Stories where I usually splurge half of my budget.

Moving to Dubai brought some happy news. & Other Stories recently opened its first store in UAE, at Dubai Mall. It’s obvious that the second day that I spent in Dubai I jumped into a taxi and went straight forward to the store. I always love the collection displayed. Not everything, of course. & Other Stories collection includes a big part of minimal black / white / grey clothes which are not for me. But, on the other side, the brand creates the most interesting prints and patterns. THIS part of the collection is definitely made for me.

One step into the store and these plissed skirt and silk shirt screamed my name. Quite loudly, I would say! It’s not the first time that & Other Stories creates this game of patterns. Basically the top and the buttom have the same print but the colors are swapped.

I don’t know what’s your experience, but personally I always have difficulties to find a good plissed skirt. Most of them create awful creases on the hips, making them looking larger. But, I’m always happy with the fit of & Other Stories skirts. They really work well on my body.

I have only one negative note. Exactly after 3 days I bought these items, sales started at & Other Stories. My selection was at 50% off. *sigh* I wish the guy at the store would have told me somthing. But what’s a bad news for me it can be a good reason for you to visit the store. While these pieces are already sold out online (but I linked some other cool options at the end of the post), they are still available in stores!
