Day 2 In Oman – Summer Pink Dress
Oman is a muslim country and women must cover themselves. Said that during our staycation at Rotana Resort I felt free to dare leaving my you-live-in-a-muslim-country uniform at home, opting for some more “alluring” clothes 😉 Spending our evenings inside the Resort gave me the freedom to wear short dresses.
What a great relief!
I can’t lie saying that following EVERY-SINGLE-DAY a dresscode that doesn’t mean something for me is pretty hard. There are days when I just want to put on a mini skirt or a pair of shorts without feeling naked or against the law.
By the way, a holiday is a holiday, right? So I decided to take some days off from rules and I put in the suitcase this little pink dress.
Now that I think of, this season I might be a little bit obsessed by nude dresses. Remember this other dress that I wore here? Pale pink color might not be the best solution for pale skin holders! But I don’t care when dresses are so pretty. Well actually the truth is another one. When I put this pink dress in the suitcase I thought to reach a certain level of tan but the sun seemed to be shy in Oman and it didn’t appear so often.
During holidays, you usually find me in a pair of flat shoes. I tend to avoid to bring high heels on holidays because I normally walk more than usual. This time I made an expection. I found this Kurt Geiger shoes last month and I elected them “best shoes of summer“. The heel is 5 cm – so easy to walk in – and they have stones all over the heel which add a twist to the shoes. They are my go-to for dresses, skirts but also jeans. Plus, they are pink (again!) so they perfectly match with my pink dress.
