Relax at Sheraton Hotel – Doha
After a long week full of meetings and events, I thought it was time to treat myself spending one entire day at Sheraton Hotel, in West Bay. My morning started with a work out session with the personal trainer Ryan Gelderbloem. After 10 minutes of cardio (where I literally run with the sea in front of me) I did a circuit of exercises to improve my balance. Written in this way you may think that I didn’t work our seriosuly, but trust me, the day after I had difficulties to move my legs. And can we talk about my abs?!
But after burning calories, I spent one hour under the hands of the therapist Mrs Gangani. She practiced a sport massage, focusing on my back – especially close to neck – trying to relax my muscles. Despite my social life where it seems I’m always out for events and shootings I spend a lot of time at my desk in front of the laptop and I’m sure many of you can understand that feeling to have back and neck totally in pain!
Next to the gym there is a restaurant, La Veranda (yes, an italian one!). I had lunch there tasting delicious food cooked by the new Chef Alessandro Colageo. Just the starter (focaccia with olive oil) was already divine! I went for a main course (ravioli alla burrata are highly recommended) but I suggest to try also pizza, is really good. And don’t forget to order Tiramisù as dessert.
With my tummy full of great food, I wasn’t able to move myself anyway except till the swimming pool where I spent the rest of my day. I like Sheraton Hotel because it’s a little green oasi in Doha. It’s surrounded by palms and trees on one side and the sea on the other one. It’s one of the oldest hotels in town but certainly you don’t feel it. No, you appreciate the calm and the peace and… the amazing view of Doha’s skyline!
