After taking these photos I sent a couple of them to my mom and we both agreed that I might got inspiration from my grandmother’s style when I chose the look.

A vintage inspired dress, a pair of cat-eye sunglasses, a braid leather belt tied on the waist and a straw bag. Voilá! Here I am, straight from the 50’s.

I officially “met” this striped vintage inspired dress last week. Elabelz, a popular e-shop in Middle East, invited me to try the shopping experience on the website. I always appreciate the opportunity to test a new e-shop. I’m huge fan of online shopping. I have my favourite stores and I usually stay stick to them because they are already approved (by myself!). However, I’m always open to try new platforms if I read good reviews or friends suggest it to me.

My experience with Elabelz was extremely positive.

One of the brands that took my attention was Own The Looks. It carries a lot of pretty dresses, skirts and tops and I found the prices were OK. To give you an idea, this vintage inspired dress that I decided to buy was under 400aed (100$).

It wasn’t easy to define my final order. The items I put on my cart were: this print vintage pleated dress, this gingham botton up playsuit, this print ruffle sleeve dress (probably my next purchase) and this blue color contrast maxi dress. At the end I decided for the vintage striped dress because I really like both the top (with the straight stripes) and the bottom part (with the ruffles and bottons).

I got it in size M since S wasn’t available, but it fits me. It’s my first time with this brand so I can’t say much but maybe Own the Looks fits smaller.

On the same day, I also bought a pair of Vans. I wanted the classic Vans sneakers for long but I wasn’t really sure that the black colour was for me. When I saw this suede pale green, I knew it that those sneakers were the right ones. (check also this grey option)

Elabelz is based in Dubai (but it ships worldwide). So I placed the order in the afternoon and I got my items the next morning. I was impressed! If you live in UAE you can also select ‘cash at the delivery” as payment option.
