A Few New Lipsticks
SEPHORA CREAM LIP STAIN // LIPSTICK ROUND-UP 1
Last month I received a very generous PR gift: the full range of Sephora “Cream Lip Stain” lipsticks.
Sephora recently released 23 new shades, adding on the top of the 21 existing shades. Can you image what means to have 44 new lipsticks to play with? I felt like a baby girl who received her first doll.
The collection includes a lot of bold colours like green, purple, black and blue which are obviously not for every day makeup. (Although, according to Into The Gloss, bold shades are the latest beauty trend to follow!)
Anyway, there is a bunch of nude and red shades
These lipsticks are matte and really long lasting. As always, when you use matte lipsticks, you need to have a very good base. Dried lips and matte lipstick are the worst match. If your lips are dried the lipstick will look like a mess on you. So be sure to keep your lips hydrated. I talked once about my addiction to lip balm.

From the same collection, I also picked 4 shades of pink that have become quite quickly my most worn lipsticks. Except for Sephora Cream Lip Stain n.08, which is a very bright pink that I keep it for particular occasions, the other three (Sephora Cream Lip Stain n.07 /12 /38) are literally perfect for every day makeup. Easy to apply, they just add the right amount of colour to my lips.

LE MARC LIQUID LIP CRAYON BY MARC JACOBS
Every time I walk into Sephora, I always have a look at Marc Jacobs counter. I’m such a big fan of this brand and I think the beauty collection always includes the most interesting colours. I’m also attracted by the packaging. There is always something glamour in Marc Jacobs beauty products.
Anyway, speaking of the lipsticks that recently made an appearance in my beauty vanity, Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayons are definitely a hit for me.
I have Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon n. 350 and n.300. The shade n. 350 “fram-bois!“ a bold fuchsia, is my favourite. I already wore it several times and every time that I apply it I get surprised by the amazing quality. These lipsticks are not matte, but still long-lasting. They also moisturize the lips so you don’t need to wear any particular base under the lipstick. The fact that they come in a form of pencil makes it easier to apply them (also for retouching).
FENTY BEAUTY MATTEMOISELLE
When Fenty Beauty was launched I wasn’t sure what to think about this brand. All reviews that I read glorified this new beauty brand, talking about how amazing its products are. But still there was a part of me that wasn’t sure if the hype was real or a marketing strategy. All doubts were gone as soon as I started using Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle lipsticks.
If I could summarise my feelings in few words, these would be OH-MY-GOD (and yes, you have to pronounce them as there is Janice from Friends in the room – and yes, I just finished to re-watch all Friends episodes!).
Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle lipsticks are a sort of combination of Sephora and Marc Jacobs lipsticks. They are with no doubts long lasting. They supposed to be matte, they are but not in a strong way as Sephora Cream Lip Stain. You don’t get the feeling of dehydration on your lips.
The only inconvenient, as I already said several time on Instagram Stories, Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle is not the easiest lipstick to apply. The shade is very intense, as soon as you touch the lip a trace of color appears. So you must be very precise, which is quite hard for me as I’m not a makeup artist expert. But with some practice, you can get a fantastic result (worn here)
