A La Parisienne Look From Fidenza Village
I’ve just came back home after spending three weeks travelling between Italy and Thailand. I have so much to tell you about my trip to Thailand and I’m already putting together a couple of posts that might be helpful for you in case you want to visit this beautiful country.
On the other side, my days in Italy were pretty much all about family time (and cold weather, too cold for me!). However, I definitely have one experience to share with you.
One day Massimo and I decided to have a little trip. We took the car and we drove towards Fidenza to visit Fidenza Village outlet.
Fidenza Village is an open mall that includes outlet stores of most of the best fashion brands. I heard a lot about this place. My mom recommended me it saying that I would have loved it.
One day, here in Dubai, I took part of a private lunch held in honour of Desiree Boiler, the Chair & Chief Global Merchant of Value Retail. In that occasion I received a generous voucher to spend at one of the many outlets that Value Retail has around the globe. Fidenza Village is one of these and so, once I arrived in Italy, I decided to visit the mall.
The shopping experience was absolutely fantastic! I walked away hanging many shopping bags, but more important, I really caught many great deals.
I was lucky because it was SALE season, so I found pieces at further reduced prices.
First store that I visited was PRADA. I bought a pair of black suede boots, those that I wear in this post. These boots are crazy comfortable. Pretty much is like to wear a glove on your foot. Perfect size of heel, it’s not too high. I don’t recall the original price but I’m almost sure it was over 700 – or even 900 – euro. I got them for 150 euro. For 125 euro I also brought home a pair of Prada sandals.
Second stop was at Sun Fashion Lab, an eyewear store. I felt in love with two pairs of sunnies. A cat-eye sunglasses from Jimmy Choo (those I’m wearing in the picture) and another pair from Christian Dior. At the cash counter they applied a further 30% off on the outlet price. These two sunglasses were bargains!
I also stopped at Dolce & Gabbana (where I resisted to buy another Sicily bag), at Jimmy Choo, REDValentino and Furla. But my last purchases were from Pollini where both Massimo and I found two pairs of shoes each. He also shopped at Diesel and Tommy Hilfiger.
I’ll definitely keep Fidenza Village in mind for when I go back to Italy. It’s not really far from my hometown, around 2 hours and half. But it’s really close to Milan.
Fidenza Village provides a shuttle service from Milan to the shopping mall. You can catch the bus in the morning and be back in the evening.
Another note that worth to be mention. Fidenza Village offers a VIP treatment for all guests who apply, providing a hands free shopping experience. This service is becoming quite popular here in Dubai. Both Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates offer it. Now it’s available in Italy too. Basically you don’t need to carry around shopping bags. Once purchased, the store sends your items to the VIP Lounge where you can easily collect all your shopping damage at the end of the day!
Of course, there are also restaurants inside Fidenza Village. The area of Fidenza (and Parma) is well known in Italy for the amazing food. So, don’t miss the chance to stop by and try ravioli or cappelletti. These are specialities from Emilia Romagna. We personally had lunch at Villano and we definitely recommend it.
