Lost In The Desert
When two bloggers and one photographer decide to do something fun spending a day at the beach, you know that you will end the day taking million of pics. We are never really off duty. Being in front and behind the camera is in our DNA.
So, between a nachos and a candy, a pita and a spoon of hummous (please don’t question about our food choices) Sofia – aka the photographer – took these awesome photos of me and Pooja, from Les Rebelles Squad blog.
I won’t let you question about the food, but I’ll give my permission to ask me if we planned our outfits in advance. The answer is yes, of course.
As I said in the intro, a blogger is never off duty. A whazzup chat and
hundreds a few messages later, we came up with an idea for our shooting. Well, I’m not really sure if there is an idea behind the photos, but certainly we created such a beautiful outfit match.
I wore this By.Sauce dress that I bought last time I went to Dubai, around a month ago. S*uce is my first shopping destination when I visit Dubai. Its selection of brands and accessories is really one of a kind. Since few seasons, they also introduced an in-house collection which include many pieces that make you standout but, at the same time, are very easy to wear.
I don’t need to think twice when I say that maxi dresses are my best friends. A fresh cotton dress is the perfect item to wear during the hot summer in Doha. And with the approach of Ramadan, you must have at least one maxi dress to wear to attend a tipical Iftar or Sohour. Normally kaftans are the first choice, but if you don’t have one you can opt for a long dress.
I’ll definitely wear this By.Sauce dress again, maybe pairing with a fancy shirt to keep my shoulders covered.
Just a little bit of behind the scene
Those who say that running a blog is very easy don’t have a damn idea! It takes a village to prepare new contents. Not only you are the stylist, the model, the photographer, the writer and the editor, but you also have to scout the scene where to shooting and to pick the props. Even when the sun is consuming you and temperatures are reaching the two numbers 4-0.
Running a blog is a challange, but said that, I won’t never change my job for nothing else! It brings new friendships and a lot of laugh, as Sofia was ready to capture in this shot!
