Christmas Makeup With Tom Ford
Last week I took part of the Christmas annual dinner organized by my husband’s company. I thought it was a great occasion to play a little bit with these new entries in my beauty case from Tom Ford makeup collection.
This was my first time with Tom Ford beauty. I never had the chance to try out those products. I’ve always been attracted by the Lips & Boys lipstick collection, but, if I’m not wrong, it’s pretty hard to find it in Qatar.
I had an idea in mind to create a light smokey eye makeup.
After preparing my skin and putting on a base for makeup, I started to work on my eyebrow. I know that some of you keep the eyebrow as last step, but I like starting from the top and going down till the lips – which are normally the last part of my face that I touch.
I used Tom Ford brow sculptor to define the arch of my eyebrow. Normally I use an eyebrow compact powder that I apply using a small brush. But Tom Ford eyebrow sculptor is incredible. It’s a kind of pencil which helps you to design very natural brows. Actually, you can use the sculptor to literally draw every single hair on your brows. I used this color, but you can check which is the better for you.
For the eye makeup I played with Tom Ford eye color quad -14 ice queen, but you can also use this combo of colors.
The eye color quad is the perfect tool to use to create a light smokey eye makeup, because all the shades of grey help to get the right depth on your eyes without having a too heavy effect.
I blended the dark grey shadow from my lashline toward the browbone. I intensified the color on my crease. Than I used the shimmery light grey shadow for my eyelid to give more light to the eyes. I also used a highlighting pencil on the brow bone, just above the crease.
I added drama to the eyes using Tom Ford eye defining pencil – 06 midnight. It’s a dark blue and it perfectly goes with the grey palette. Then, I put two coats of black mascara to finish the look.
A touch of blush on my cheeks and a red lipstick ( a classic like this one) and voilà! I had a chic, sophisticated but not too heavy makeup.
I liked this makeup so much that I’m going to replicate it also for the Christmas dinner. But probably I’m gonna change the eye palette, trying out these four colors. I found them very interesting!
