The Chino Pants You Haven’t Find Yet
Last weekend the weather forecast said “rain” and the rain came! As usual, the city was completely in tilt after less than 30 minutes of raining. Doha is made for the sand not for the water 🙂
Anyway, the bad weather didn’t change our weekend plans and we decided to adventure ourselves outdoor living the comfy of our sofa (and I don’t know why, but on weekends that sofa looks even more comfortable than usual!).
What I decided to wear is what I call “off-duty blogger” outfit. I spend most of time during the week to attend meetings and events. I’m always over-dressed up. During my free time I like to wear something more casual, practical, but at the same time still iper feminine. However to find good basic pieces at still affordable price can be a challenge sometimes.
The other day I had lunch with my husband at The Mall on D Ring. Since I arrived a little bit early I took advantage of that time to check a new store opening: OUI.
OUI is a frenchising from Germany, but I would say that the collection doesn’t remind me the German style at all. Conversely, when you move your first step into the store you have the feeling to be in a small Parisienne boutique. Interiors are white and bright. Very simple, perfectly in harmony with the clothes collection which is a triumph of neutral and pastel colors and basic items.
I went to OUI store thinking to spend just five minutes for a quick check and I ended to stay there for more than one hour – arriving in late for the lunch with the husband, ops!
But I have a justified excuse. I think I found at OUI the place where I could well fill some important holes in my closet.
I’ve been looking for a while for the perfect pair of chino pants. They are my favorite alternative solution to jeans. These pants that I chose have an amazing fit and a superb quality. Extra points, they come in a fabulous baby blue color!
I paired it with the cutest sweater with a little ribbon on the collar – which comes also in baby pink and beige – and voilà! I left the store with a new total look super practical but really chic.
Actually, I saw at OUI many tempting items, but I forced myself to take only few pieces with the idea to keep the rest for a second round at the store!
From my experience I would really recommend a visit to OUI if:
*You love neutral colors for every day outfits.
*You are really bored to over pay basic pieces at Zara to which quality most of the time sucks. Prices at OUI are slightly more expensive than Zara’s one, but there is no competition between the quality of these two brands.
