If you live or work in West Bay, you probably know that one place to have a good lunch break is Jones The Grocer.
Located in The Gate Mall, Jones The Grocer offers a quite wide range of delicious food. From soups to hamburgers, from pasta to salads, the menu includes different cousins.
But surely Jones The Grocer is well kown for its cheese corner. A great selection of cheese can be tested in the restaurant or bought to eat after.
Inside, the restaurant is very “New York” style. Interiors reminds me industry elements. Few tables are also available outside surrounded by the skyscrapers of the city.
However, Jones The Grocer is not only the place to go for lunch. I went them last week for a dinner for two, with my husband. The atmosphere may not be very romantic, but food is really good.
As a hummus addicted, I ordered “dukkah & hummus dip with assorted jones toasted breads” as entrée to share with my husband. Delicious! Hummus is my passion and this one was good. Maybe we should order one portion each!
Then I tried the grilled chicken hamburger with chips and my hubby took the grilled salmon as suggested by the waiter. And he was not disappointed at all.
We were not impressed by desserts we tried: row energy chocolate balls for me, apple crumble for him. They weren’t bad, but nothing special (my crumble is better!). But the selection of desserts is so wide and they all look so tasted that next time I want to give a chance to those lemon meringues and macaroons that seemed to be great!I think this restaurant is also a good place where having some rest after a shopping section at Salam Stores or at all boutiques inside the mall!
*Disclosure: I was invited to try Jones The Grocer but all opinions expressed are my own.
