Luisa, a lovely italian girl from the unique city of Rome, is the protagonist of this post.
Her S.O.S. was really simple. She is going to spend a holiday in Paris soon (lucky, lucky you!) and she would like to be chic and well dressed (as only the Parisienne women know to do) but keeping herself warm.
If you’ve never been in Paris in winter season, trust me, it’s freaking cold! So Mrs B. and I totally understand this Luisa’s request.
I think being a Parisienne is quite impossible. Many books have been published with all tips to follow to be the perfect Parisienne woman (and of course, I have all of them!). But personally I think that or you are born Parisienne or you are not. These women born with a particular allure that sometimes I wonder if it’s not written on their passports under “particular notes to declare!”
But at the same time I believe that we can try to be as stylish as they are.
Some easy rules to follow are:
–heels. I think that french women born not only with a particular allure, but also with a special shape of foot that let them to wear heels all days, all time! But they are smart, they never wear too high heels. Around 5-7 cm. It’s a kind of philosophy that I really appreciate.
–red lipstick. And nothing else. Or better. You have to be good enough with your make up to re-create a total natutal makeup that make you look as you are wearing nothing else than a red sexy lipstick that you accidentally found in your bag.
–bag. They love bags (fiuuuu, maybe they are not so alien as I thought!). But once again they are smarter than many other women (included me). They are not focused on the last IT bag, only. They appreciate GOOD bags, good leather, good deteails. Vintage is a must for a Parisienne.
But if Chanel is now the perfect bag for women from all around the world, there is still one name that reminds Paris immediately. Vanessa Bruno. It’s quite impossibile to walk around the city and don’t see the Caban bag by Vanessa Bruno. A must!
Now the aim of this S.O.S. Mrs B. post is to be well dressed but keeping the body warm. So one more tip is necessary. I got this tip from my friends from North Europe. Of course they know hot to keep themselves warm! They used to wear a thin layer of wool directly on their body. This simple and easy to follow rule really helps you to survive to the coldest temperatures.
So here we are, at the end of this post with two outfits of Mrs B.
